The business community's support has been tremendous, with over 60 businesses contributing between €3,000 and €30,000. Thanks to their belief in us, we delivered and opened the Astro turf facilities. We thank each sponsor for their belief in our vision and their dedication to making it a reality.

When your business supports Cairde Corporate, you’re helping create top-quality facilities for the next generation. It’s a real investment in Kinvara’s future—supporting health, belonging, and opportunity.

Your support shows pride in the community and helps leave a legacy that will last for years to come. You’ll also see the impact of your support up close, as Kinvara GAA continues to grow and thrive with your help.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Corporate Sponsors

We’re deeply grateful to the corporate sponsors of Cairde Cinn Mhara. With contributions starting from €3,000, these businesses have played a key role in helping us build and open our new state-of-the-art Astro pitch.

Their support has done more than create a playing field—it’s created opportunities for people of all ages to play, grow, and belong. Every time someone steps onto that pitch, they’ll benefit from the belief and generosity of our sponsors.

We thank each sponsor for their belief in our vision and their dedication to making it a reality.

Early last summer, a delegation from the club approached the family of the late Colum Corless to discuss honouring his legacy by linking it with our future plans for a Health and Wellness Facility and Clubhouse.

Colum Corless was one of Kinvara’s greatest hurlers—a standout of his generation who proudly represented Galway at the highest level. A minor in 1939, he became a household name in hurling. He played right corner-back in Galway’s 1953 All-Ireland final against a Christy Ring-led Cork, and represented Connacht in the Railway Cup, lining out at centre-half-back in 1949 and right-full back in 1952.

In 1951, Colum helped Galway win the National Hurling League, wearing the number two jersey. He continued playing well into the 1980s and remarkably took up marathon running in his sixties - completing his last 10k at ease at the age of 84.

Phase 3 of our project will not be possible without the help and partnership of the Corless family. We are deeply grateful for their support and trust. It is a tremendous achievement for us to have his family backing the project, and we are proud to carry Colum’s legacy into the future.
